Welcome To Meadowland Greens!
Our mission is to provide the freshest, nutrient-dense local microgreens in order to help people easily add more nutrient-dense foods to their diet. In addition, we strive to educate people about microgreens, their amazing health benefits, and why they are a great addition to any diet. We also provide recipes and many ideas for incorporating microgreens into a healthy diet. On the day following a market, we donate the rest of our greens from the market to the North Kingstown Food Pantry on School Street. The food pantry passes on the educational materials we provide to those who select our greens when they visit the food pantry, continuing our mission of providing nutrient-dense food and education on its health benefits. It’s never too late to start improving your health!
ABOUT US
Meadowland Greens is a small farm-to-table microgreens operation that grows and delivers greens directly to you. Both soil and seed are organic and baby greens are hand watered from below as needed daily. The greens are grown in a climate-controlled environment. We offer ready-to-eat greens packaged in bags or canning jars and living greens which come from us to you still growing in their small containers allowing you to harvest them when you are ready to enjoy them. Our farm-to-table organization enables us to provide you with the most nutrient-dense greens possible. Harvested greens are cut no more than 24 hours before you receive them in order to provide you with the highest quality cut greens you can buy. Our living greens option allows you to enjoy the most nutrient-dense microgreens possible. Whichever way you choose to purchase our greens, they far surpass what you can buy at a supermarket with regard to nutrients and freshness. We also offer cut-to-order when at the farmers market which allows customers to buy the freshest cut greens possible and create their own combinations!
We will also grow living greens for table centerpieces or favors for showers and other events. In addition, we offer educational and hands-on opportunities for all ages. We also do small group events which include a short presentation on microgreens and their health benefits, raffles, and the opportunity for attendees to purchase bagged and/or living greens on-site.
