Programs
We offer a variety of programs for people of all ages to learn more about microgreens and their benefits. The goal of these programs is to improve nutrition, increase local food sustainability, and provide educational opportunities around microgreens and gardening. Below is a list of the programs we currently offer. We hope to see you soon at your event, in your class, or with your group!

Pop-Ups
Have a small business or restaurant you're trying to attract more people to? Putting together a small pop-up event? We love pop-ups! We'll bring cute bagged and living green trays for purchase as well as general information about microgreens and their uses, and a recipe or two.

"From Seed to Salad" or "From Seed to Smoothie"
Kathy, the owner of Meadowland Greens, is a certified elementary teacher. These two programs are hands-on and three sessions created for upper elementary classes (see below). Both cover some of the Common Core Grade 5 Life Science/Living Systems standards. Students work in groups. Each group plants one type of microgreen. Plant growth tracking and Observation Sheet included for daily data tracking by students as well as a Seek and Find. (Teachers: These programs are in Google Slides format and can be shared with your students for use during group work.) Ingredients for the final day (Smoothie or Salad) other than the microgreens will be provided by you or donated by families. $8.00/child for all these sessions. Ages 9 and up/grades 4-6.

"Mini Magic"
This is a single-session program, where kids learn about microgreens and seed their own pea microgreens. Take-home directions for their care and harvest will be provided. This can include sampling a smoothie made during the session that contains microgreens (the recipe will be available for kids to take home). This program is for classrooms, youth programs, or birthday parties. Ages 6 and up/grades 1-4 $6.00/child ($7.00/child with smoothie option).

For Adults: Microgreens 101
This is a one-hour program designed to explain why microgreens are becoming so popular, their many health benefits, and how to incorporate them into meals, appetizers, and snacks. One sample appetizer will be provided to allow participants to try microgreens. Each participant will also leave will a small sampler bag of microgreens ($3.50 value). Additional microgreens can be available for purchase at the end of the presentation. $10.00/person (for larger groups of 11 or more $100.00 flat fee).

Centerpieces/Favors for Events
Have a shower or other event coming up? Looking for table centerpieces that can double as a take-home table gift for the lucky winner? Looking for a fun and tasty (and healthy) favor to thank your guests? Our 5"x 5" Living Greens trays might be just what you're looking for. We can "dress them up" with foil and ribbons to match your color scheme. Our cute bagged microgreens are another nice edible favor idea. (.25 oz and .5 oz bags are perfect and inexpensive favors).
5"x5" Living Greens trays are $5.00 each (10 or more $4.50 each). Foil, ribbon, etc. will be an additional $1.50/tray.​ Contact us for bulk pricing for individual favor bags of greens.

**SEASONAL** Square Foot Gardening Instruction
Looking to learn how to garden in a small amount of space or just want to start small? Interested in becoming more self-sufficient and providing some of your own food? Square foot gardening may be for you and Kathy is a certified Square Foot Garden Instructor. Learn to grow an enormous amount of food in just 16 square feet of space or smaller if need be). Square foot gardening is great for kids and families as well as adults. We will work with individuals or small groups of any age. It can be just introductory or hands-on (build a 1x1 raised bed ready to plant (will require adult help for kids). Premade 1x1 raised beds are also an option (additional fee). Kathy will create a program to meet your specific needs whether individual, family, or small group. Choose from multi-session (6 sessions) and single session full day options. Continued support and education can be arranged to meet your personal needs as you learn this new, simple way of gardening.
